ulei pe carton, 59 x 48 cm, signed centrally below, in pencil, "T. Pallady"; signed on the right side, in black, "TP"

Most often, the books that crown the tables in his works make references to volumes that form the literary core of the painter: Baudelaire, Proust or Nietzsche. Therefore, we can translate the literary, poetic or philosophical rhythms in his creation into the interpretation of the meanings of some universal masterpieces. Other times, however, Pallady no longer dwells on singling out these elements, illustrating them without specific notes, but leaving us to guess their identity. Unlike the static natures that he has accustomed us to, the present work stands out through the scale gained by the elements in the unfolding of the composition. We no longer find the wide spaces, intentionally left unoccupied, but each piece of the canvas becomes relevant and necessary for the coloristic unleashing of the artist. We also note the lively tones of the palette used: predominantly ochre, orange, and purple, declined in such a way as to exemplify a wider spectrum. A work with an equally vibrant color and with equally comprehensive compositional organization can be found in the collection of the National Museum of Art of Romania. The painter proposes games of light and shadow in striking tones and introduces the imposing vase, from which the triumphant stems of the field flowers emerge. The yellow shawl, which we identify in other works, also appears here; and the partially open fan, a preferred prop of the artist, is also present. The exuberant unfolding of the composition, which individualizes this work from the cycle dedicated to static natures, is undoubtedly an impressive one.
