Nature appears in his creation as the primal source of inspiration. "Apolinic and solar," as Petru Comarnescu noted, Francisc Sirato introduced chiaroscuro effects into the colored planes and achieved a firm agreement between theme, vision, and technique. From the 1930s, flowers will appear more frequently in his work. The ornamental decor, with rustic accents, but also the fullness and liveliness of the floral elegies will acknowledge the artist as one of the important cultural personalities of the last century. In this work, he creates a true microcosm in which he flawlessly inserts fragments belonging to his daydreams. He will constantly refer to nature and will use radiant colors through which he will synthesize the light of the atmosphere in which he carries out his activity. Against an intimate background of inspiration, a space that could be deciphered as his own workshop, the jug with marigolds and the red book occupy the foreground of the composition where the artist introduces us without hesitation to his familiar universe. The chromatic harmony is concentrated in the central plane, in the synergy of red, ochre, and orange. The fourth decade of the last century represents a significant threshold in Sirato's work. Now, the artist becomes much more involved in the study of objects. The reflective temperament is indisputably revealed to the public through a careful study of nature and the surrounding environment. The artist stands out for the exaltation of shades and the delimitation of brushstrokes but also for the way he maintains the vibration and warmth of human presence in the static natures in which he mainly focuses on objects. Arranged in several plans, the elements chosen by the artist succeed in a lyrical unfolding of meanings and mutually enhance their aesthetic value.
