The artwork is an interpretation of "Rustic Idyll", a piece preserved in the Arad County Museum. A version of the artwork is reproduced in the book "Centenar Theodor Aman", published by Venus, Bucharest, 1991, cat. XXV. The artwork is mentioned in "Theodor Aman, the printmaker", catalog by Mariana Vida, Bucharest, 1993, on page 90.
