The studies and numerous travels carried out in France would include Nicolae Grant in the circle of Fontainebleau "plein-air" painters. The landscapes, flowers and interiors executed by the artist unmistakeably belong to the Impressionist movement. Both in his landscapes and his interior works, Grant uses a lively coloured chromatic range, seeking to create luminous compositions. In the current work, the artist directed himself towards rendering reality as thoroughly as possible, as well as a warm, familiar atmosphere.
