Queen Maria met Edward Alexander Powell (1879-1957) during the First World War when he was a war correspondent. At the beginning of the interwar period, Powell visited the queen in Romania, at Peles, and offered her this particular copy as a keepsake, with a beautiful handwritten dedication.
