Research information
In 1921 and 1922, Gheorghe Petrașcu returned and painted an important cycle of landscapes from the old Saxon medieval fortress, on fairly small formats, works that were to be exhibited in exhibitions from 1923-1926. Most likely, the work participated in the personal exhibition in 1923 at the Romanian Athenaeum, when Petrașcu was exhibiting the Transylvanian landscapes made in 1921-1922 for the first time.
