The work marks the first year of the painter's stay in Craiova, Romano probably settling in the capital of Oltenia in the fall of 1907. Along with the dating, the two publications reproduced in oil, "Democracy" and "Tribune", remind us of the Dolj press from the first decade of the 20th century.
