Description
A student of the "Nicolae Grigorescu" Institute of Fine Arts in Bucharest, which he graduated in 1979, Ștefan Râmniceanu made his debut as an artist in the early '80s, within the 35 and Horizon Galleries. He traverses a series of pictorial manners, in resonance with the domestic and external trends of the era, integrating into the neo-Byzantine direction of Romanian art. In 1992, he received a scholarship from the French state, settling in Paris, where he worked in his studio at Cite Internationale des Arts. Here, the artist will experiment with new stylistic metamorphoses. He develops in the course of his creation series such as: "Walls", "Islands", "Writings", "Traces", "Mazes", "Manuscript", "Book", "The Universal Man", etc.
